ABOUT
In 1978, I was born in a dreamlike village surrounded by greenery in the Gölköy district of Ordu. The early years of my childhood were spent in this paradise, adorned with lush forests and colorful flowers, where one falls in love with its climate and nature. Every morning, I would wake up to the chirping of birds and play in the babbling streams.
The magnificent beauty of nature instilled in me a deep love for the environment and nature.
When I was five years old, we moved to Istanbul.
I attended primary school at Küçükbakkalköy Merkez Primary School (formerly known as Kemal Berktan Primary School).
Due to family reasons, I was unable to attend secondary school.
I DID NOT GIVE UP
And I completed my secondary education through external examinations.
This process taught me how to cope with challenges and the importance of self-discipline.
My Educational Journey
I completed my high school education at Prof. Faik Somer High School in Küçükbakkalköy.
Throughout my education, I have always had a great interest in learning and self-improvement.
I prepared for the university entrance exams at home with my own resources.
Winning a place at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Education, was the most significant step towards my dreams.
The years I spent at Boğaziçi University were rich not only academically but also in terms of my personal development.
The university allowed me to enhance my skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership.
My Professional Career
After graduating from university, I began my teaching career at TED College, one of Turkey's established educational institutions. I then took a position at Şişli Terakki Foundation Schools. Over time, I have held various roles such as education coordinator, school principal, and campus director at different institutions. During this time, I participated in many projects aimed at bringing innovative approaches to the education system and improving the quality of education.
These roles have helped me develop the ability to create solutions tailored to the needs of every student by gaining experience in diverse educational environments.
Leadership and Innovation in Education
The years I spent as an educator provided me with the opportunity to lead in education. As an education coordinator, I organized programs that contributed to the professional development of teachers and developed projects for the more accurate and effective use of technology in education. In my roles as school principal and campus director, I focused on improving the school climate by establishing a strong communication network between students and teachers. During this period, I aimed to support not only students' academic achievements but also their social and emotional development.
Stepping into Politics
My experiences in education and my passion for serving the community led me to politics. I entered politics as a candidate for the 28th term Istanbul CHP parliamentary elections. My entry into politics was shaped by the desire to serve all segments of society from a broader perspective. The leadership experience I gained in education reinforced my desire to reach wider audiences and find solutions to their problems based on the principles of social justice and equality.
Candidacy for Ataşehir Mayor
In my political journey, I continued as a candidate for Ataşehir Mayor. During this process, I had the opportunity to get to know the needs of the region and the expectations of the people more closely. During my candidacy for mayor, I worked to implement many ideas and projects aimed at social responsibility initiatives, environmental protection efforts, and community development. Being close to the public and finding solutions to their problems has always been a great source of motivation for me.
Serving the Community and My Vision for the Future
I am married and have an 11-year-old daughter named Nisev. The support and love of my family have inspired me in every area of my life. I dream of a world where all children are happy, no child goes to bed hungry, and wars do not exist. This vision forms the foundation of all my efforts.
With the knowledge and experiences I have gained throughout my life, I continue to work towards providing a better future for the community. In this journey from education to politics, I always aim for better. My goal is to create a society where every individual has equal opportunities and where social justice and peace prevail. In line with this vision, I aim to reach every segment of society by developing innovative projects in areas such as education, health, environment, and social services.
My Dream
A country where every girl has equal access to education.
I envision a future where girls are raised as strong, confident, and independent individuals in every segment of society. I want to build a society where our empowered girls achieve their dreams, lead, and succeed in every field.
In the future, I dream of a world where our girls have a say in the management of the country and play active roles in politics, business, and social life.
I believe that under their leadership, policies will be developed that ensure peace, justice, and prosperity, providing a better life for all humanity.
My greatest desire is to work for a Turkey where all children look forward to hopeful tomorrows, equality and justice prevail, and young people and women can dream again.
